Skills and Experience

Scientific Skills
Experienced in applying advanced physics principles to analyse complex problems. My Msci in Physics equipped me with a strong foundation in experimental and theoretical physics. I studied advanced topics such as quantum mechanics, particle physics, cosmology, statistical mechanics, material science and condensed matter, gaining an understanding of the fundamental laws of physics systems. My laboratory work strengthened my skills in experimental methods including optics, spectroscopy and data acquisition alongside error analysis. I gained experience in computational physics using programming and mathematical modelling to simulate complex systems, solve differential equations and analyse data sets. I developed the ability to critically evaluate scientific literature and communicate complex concepts clearly.
Innovation Skills
I excel at generating ideas and translating them to practical solutions. Through my MSci I developed skills in design thinking, ideation, prototyping and working on projects that combined research with creative problem solving. I have experience using interviews, surveys and focus to discover user needs, then synthesising into opportunities for innovative concepts. By iterating designs based on feedback and testing, I ensure outcomes are original and impactful. I thrive in environments that encourage forward thinking, creativity and experimentation, always striving to make change through innovative approaches.
Research & Development
I have an academic, creative and innovative approach to research. With experience in conducting both primary and secondary research including, focus groups, interviews, literature reviews and laboratory experiments. I am skilled at synthesising complex data into clear insights, leading to developing innovative solutions. I draw on qualitative and quantitive methods to identify patterns, user needs and opportunities in a market. Through various projects I have developed and tested concepts using feedback to refine ideas into impactful outcomes, ensuring solutions are both evidence based and user focused

Experimental Design
Proficient in designing and implementing experiments to test hypotheses, evaluate ideas and validate solutions. I have experience planning methodologies, defining variables and ensuring reproducible results. I adapt experiments using results and feedback to refine and improve effectiveness. This structured yet flexible process allows me to balance creativity with evidence based decision making. I am also skilled in advanced application of innovation methodologies and processes including Value Proposition Design, Design Thinking, Human/User Centred Design and Lean Canvas.
Problem Solving
Skilled at approaching complex challenges with a logistical yet creative mindset. I draw on research and design methodologies to identify root causes, explore multiple perspectives and generate solutions. This was evident during my degree projects where I conducted research to understand user needs then synthesised findings to produce actionable insights that shape the direction of ideas, prototypes and solutions. By breaking down problems into manageable steps, testing solutions and iterating based on feedback, I ensure outcomes are impactful and practical, ensuring solutions are user-focused.
