During my time at university, I collaborated with a range of businesses on client focused problem solving and product launches while also developing product and initiatives through design sprints. Alongside this I gained experience in entrepreneurship by creating new start ups with the support and guidance of University of Bristol’s Centre for Innovation

Roundabout- Eco Startup
Myself and 3 other students led an initiative to tackle ‘end of tenancy’ waste and promote circular economy practices in Bristol, with a focus on sustainability and stakeholder collaboration. The project centred around creating a shop and platform for students to donate unwanted but useful items which could then be rented by others when needed, reducing single use purchasing and waste. I conducted both primary and secondary research to understand consumer behaviours and stakeholder needs, alongside competitor analysis to benchmark best practices. Using methods such as design thinking and business model canvassing, we developed and tested practical solutions. A prototype shop was launched, gathering consumer feedback and iterating designs accordingly. We produced a fully costed give year business plan with financial forecasting and an economic impact appraisal, demonstrating scalability. The project was presented to and endorsed by the Student Union and Sustainability Officers, highlighting its value as a forward thinking and impactful initiative.

Eleat- New Product Launch
Working with the company ‘Eleat Protein’, I supported the launch of a new protein product by developing a comprehensive marketing and launch plan, applying strategic marketing principles. I created targeted marketing strategies and media campaigns alongside customer engagement initiatives that leverage partnerships, co-branding opportunities and user generated content. I designed and tested user focused product solutions, applying experimental and data driven methods to validate ideas and optimise outcomes.

LEA- Academic Startup
Developed a start up venture aimed at encouraging older adults to engage with tailored physical activities. The project began with identifying the problem of low activity levels among older adults, followed by brainstorming and testing a range of potential solutions. I conducted in depth research into existing initiatives and competitor offerings to identify gaps and opportunities in the market. Building on these insights, I prototyped, built and tested a website, supported by focus groups with the target age group. Collaboration with professional sports clubs and personal trainers ensure the activities were relevant, safe and impactful. I co-ordinatred stakeholder engagement and iterative feedback loops to refine both the platform and the service offering. A venture proposal was created including a business plan that highlighted its long term impact on health, wellbeing and sustainable behaviour change.
